Your shower head could use an upgrade. This handheld shower head has a clear handle that holds a replaceable filter cartridge, so you can see the cartridge and change it yourself. The round head uses an air-boost (pressure-boosting) spray design.
How the filtration works
According to the manufacturer (model HX-A-529), water passes through two parts fitted inside the handle:
- PP filter cartridge – a polypropylene cartridge designed to trap impurities such as sediment and rust particles.
- Chlorine-removal unit – a small cartridge box the manufacturer describes as reducing residual chlorine.
What it does not do: it is not a water softener and not a drinking-water purifier. It is not designed to remove dissolved hardness minerals, so it will not stop limescale. The manufacturer lists no independent water-test certification, so we make no claims about bacteria, heavy metals, hair or skin.

Compatibility & installation
The shower head has a universal connector. Unscrew your current handheld shower head from the shower hose and screw this one onto the same hose. If your hose fitting looks unusual, send us a photo on WhatsApp before you order and we'll check it for you.
Replacing the filter
The manufacturer generally recommends replacing the PP cartridge about every 1–3 months. The right interval depends on your local water. The white cartridge discolours as it collects deposits, and the clear handle lets you see it. Three spares come in the box, and a replacement cartridge 3-pack is available separately.
